How rights holders can report copyright concerns about album artwork shown by the My9Albums template.
Last updated: 2026-10-07
Our position on artwork
The My9Albums template is a personal poster maker. It displays album covers retrieved on the fly from community-maintained public databases (MusicBrainz and the Cover Art Archive) strictly so a user can assemble a personal, nine-album grid. We do not host artwork galleries, offer artwork downloads, or claim any ownership of cover art. All artwork remains the property of its respective copyright holders.
Reporting copyright concerns
If you are a rights holder (or an authorized agent) and believe content available through this service infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice that includes:
- identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- the album, artist and (if possible) the MusicBrainz release-group identifier involved;
- your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number and email;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
- your physical or electronic signature.
Where to send notices
A designated contact channel for copyright notices is being finalized and will be published on this page. Until it appears here, notices may be routed through the hosting provider for this site, which is identified in the site's server headers. We respond to complete notices within a reasonable timeframe.
What happens next
When we receive a complete notice, we may remove or disable access to the identified material — for example, by blocking the referenced release-group artwork from our cover proxy — and will attempt to notify the affected users where technically possible. Repeat infringers are blocked from using the service.
Counter-notices
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice with your contact information, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court. We may restore the material after a waiting period unless the original complainant files a court action.
