What this policy covers

The My9Albums template is a free poster generator. You pick nine albums, arrange them in a 3x3 grid and download the resulting image. This policy explains what information is involved when you use it. The short version: there is no account, posters are generated on your device, and uploaded artwork never leaves your browser.

Information stored on your device

Your draft — the nine albums, poster title, subtitle, handle, selected theme and label setting — is saved in your browser's local storage so it survives a refresh or an accidental tab close. This information stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and is removed when you clear your browser data or use the "Clear all" button in the generator.

Album covers you upload

If an album is missing from the music database, you can upload a cover image from your device. The image is resized and stored locally in your browser so it can be drawn into your poster. It is not uploaded to any server, not attached to any profile, and disappears when you clear your draft or browser data.

Album searches and cover artwork

When you search for an album or artist, the search term is sent to our server, which forwards it to the MusicBrainz public music database on your behalf. Album cover images are loaded through our server from the Cover Art Archive. These requests are cached to keep the free APIs' usage reasonable. We do not associate searches with any account, because there are no accounts.

Technical information

Like most websites, our server records standard request logs (timestamp, IP address, browser type) for security and abuse prevention, and retains them for a short period. If an analytics provider is configured, anonymized page-view and feature events (for example, "poster downloaded") may be recorded. No advertising trackers are built into the My9Albums template.

Children's privacy

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

• Use the generator without providing any personal information.
• Clear your draft at any time with the "Clear all" button or by clearing browser data.
• Block third-party requests with any content-blocking browser extension; the poster generator keeps working with uploaded covers.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the updated date at the top of the page will change. Material changes will be reflected in the page content itself.
